Field Notes will be an online home where I’ll unpack my thinking behind personal branding photography, corporate and event imagery, and documentation of exhibitions and artworks — the how, the why, and the work itself.

Hi, I’m Robyn

If we haven’t met yet — hello. I’m a Brisbane-based photographer working with women in business, particularly those in the service-based, creative, and arts fields who care deeply about their work but don’t usually enjoy being visible.

My background sits in photography, art history, and printmaking, and that

training shapes everything I do behind the camera. A shoot isn’t a series of poses to me. It’s a translation — turning what your brand stands for into colour, light, texture, and gesture. Visual printmaking for the digital page.

Today I create branding photography that’s calm, intentional, and built to work hard for you long after the shutter clicks.

What I do

My focus is personal branding photography — bespoke, strategic imagery designed to build your credibility, visibility, and opportunity as a woman in business. Every session starts with your business, not your camera face. We discuss what you need the images to say, where they’ll live, and how you want to feel using them.


Alongside personal branding, I also work across:

  • art exhibitions and artwork documentation
  • corporate events and lifestyle photography for business teams
  • weddings and creative portrait work
  • I can also get coaxed into food or product photography – that’s where my business journey began

Whatever the brief, the same discipline applies: attention, composition, restraint, and a genuine interest in the person or work in front of my lens.

Why personal branding photography matters

Imagery shapes opportunity — not just online, but in proposals, grant applications, publications, and the conversations that lead to what’s next. Strong branding photography doesn’t change who you are, it removes friction, builds trust, and opens doors.
My role is to make sure your images are doing that work subtly and consistently, long after your shoot is over. I’ve spent most of my working life in female-focused organisations, and I know first-hand what it feels like to go unseen in a professional room. I’ll tell you about that in a future post. 

Photography is how I help change that — for myself, and for the women I photograph.

I photograph women in business, corporate events, and exhibitions. I’m based in Brisbane and working across South East Queensland. Branding sessions are strategically planned around where the images will be used, events are covered without lining anyone up against a wall, and art exhibition documentation comes with an art qualification and lived experience behind it.
